December 11, 1947 - February 14, 2010

Iona Beduz passed away at home on February 14, 2010 at the age of 62 years after battling lung cancer for more than 7 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly 20 years Mark Beduz; children Kim (Bradley) Dean of Riviere Qui Barre, Alberta, Waylon (Kelly) Kosinski of Surrey, British Columbia; and Tami (Steve) Hemminger of Edmonton, Alberta; nine grandchildren; 'honourary' mother Jenny Luchka of Edmonton, Alberta; sisters Laura (Hans) Franczak of Grand Prairie, Alberta, Viola Dobler of Devon, Alberta and Vivian Souder of Spruce Grove, Alberta; and many more family and friends. Iona was predeceased by her parents Jannina (Jean) & Wilbur Souder and her sister Connie Oko.

Iona will be remembered as a talented lady not afraid to try new things. She was proud of her professional designation as a Certified Technician (C. Tech) with ASET. She also enjoyed making heritage quilts and took up painting after she was diagnosed with cancer.
